Add PPS Lunch Menu to Google Calendar

How to subscribe to Portland Public Schools lunch menus in Google Calendar on Android, iPhone, or desktop.

Steps

  1. Open ppsmenu.com and select your PPS menus.
  2. Tap Copy URL (this copies the https:// ICS feed) or tap Google Calendar.
  3. On desktop Google Calendar: Other calendars → From URL → paste the https link → Add calendar. Do not upload the ICS as a file; a URL subscription stays in sync.
  4. On Android, the Google Calendar button opens the subscribe flow when supported; otherwise paste the https ICS URL via “From URL” on calendar.google.com.
  5. Menus sync automatically — no need to re-import when PPS updates the month.

Outlook and other apps

Any app that can subscribe to an ICS URL works. Use the https link, not a downloaded file. iPhone users should follow the iPhone Calendar guide so iOS uses webcal.

FAQ

Why does Google Calendar show the menu a day off?

Events are all-day in America/Los_Angeles. If the calendar timezone is wrong, all-day items can shift. Set the calendar timezone to Pacific Time.

Can I combine lunch and breakfast?

Yes. On the homepage select every menu you need; the combined URL is one subscription.
